ESC.IST.2: Unfinished Business

After a first trip to Istanbul full of restrictions and unfinished business, the crew returns to the city with a clear mission: to resolve what was left pending. This time, without the weight of the celebrations of the centenary of the Turkish Republic limiting the spots, there is more time, more freedom and more flow.
The video continues the laid-back, creative vibe of Part One — a sort of escape from commercial projects, with Max Strauss taking over the camera and Stephan Pöhlmann handling graphic design and photography. Now joined by Matthias Ellinger, the group takes advantage of every corner of the city to explore and skate, with no script, no pressure.
“ESC.IST.2” isn’t trying to prove anything. It’s about skateboarding with friends, experiencing new views, and taking in the chaos of Istanbul with your board under your feet. Pure free spirit, filmed as it should be, edited with sensitivity, and with spots you only see when you look twice.

The first video was a surprise. It’s a statement: skateboarding doesn’t need big productions to be memorable — it just needs the will and the right team.
